Tim & Karen Miller
Jireh Sanitation was started in September of 2000, by Tim and Karen Miller after having been involved in full-time ministry for nearly eight years. Before beginning Jireh Sanitation, Tim worked as a volunteer chaplain's assistant with "We Care Prison Ministry" in Atmore, Alabama. It was during that time that Tim felt led by the Lord to move his family to Tyler, Texas to help in a discipleship and rehabilitation ministry called "Shamgar", which was named after an Old Testament judge of Israel referenced in Judges 3:31.
Recognizing that funds were needed to provide for their family and for further ministry, they came to the realization that God was directing them to begin a rural sanitation service. Tim came to Karen after praying about a name for their business and discovered that God had placed the name "Jireh" on both of their hearts, which is the Hebrew word for "God will provide".
The business was first located on the ministry ranch but was later moved onto their personal property. Jireh Sanitation began with nine customers and a pickup truck and through God's continued blessing, the influence of Godly mentors, faithful employees and a lot of hard work, "Jireh" has grown into what it is today, a very successful business built on a Godly foundation that now serves over 4000 customers in Smith County.
